“After much effort the tent by the geo-pole is up. Yup this is how we recreate. We spend hours erecting a tent so that we can attempt to “camp” and “sleep” in it while our breath collects on the ceiling and snows back down on us.”
If you like all these and the rest of my blog, then please consider supporting my Kickstarter and pre-ordering a copy of the book here!! I promise, if the book gets funded, I’ll reveal all the secrets of aliens at the South Pole.
A friend from South Pole just sent me this pic. During the Ice sculpture contest (you might remember the Ice Couch) I attempted to make an Ice Basketball Hoop with the goal of hosting the 1st Annual South Pole Dunk Contest. I got pretty far until I accidentally chainsawed off the rim. Ugh, it was like 3 hours of hard work for nothing; but then again, when else in my life will I get to use a chainsaw whilst standing/teetering on a ladder to carve a gigantic pice of Ice?!
